Below is the message which Micheal is writing back to everyone. I picked it
up tonight after cubs.
For those who dont know, Micheal is a Cub who decided he had to jump of
something and landed and broke his heel. You can read what happened/s next
:-) And a huge thank you from me as well. I know he still has the letters
I am writing to say thank you to everyone who sent me their best wishes
when I broke my heel. My foot came out of plaster on Tuesday 24 June. I
had it on for six weeks and I still have to use my crutches for the next
four weeks. The Doctors tell me that it will be another eight weeks after
this before I can play contact sports again so Mum says that I can't go on
the next cub camp as this falls during this time period. I'll never jump
off anything that high again. To Brendan Payne from Dallas I will write to
you real soon. I have missed going to cubs, at least I still got to go on
the bottle drive. I was only allowed to miss one week of school.
I enjoyed reading about your different countries. I hope to one day visit
them. I also got to have a laugh at some of the stories that you told me.
I'm glad I'm not the only silly person out there.
Well that is all for now
Yours in Scouting
