I know that this has been discussed before, but I just heard about this
incident, and would like comments.
I have two scouts who accompanied a leader of our troop and participated
in a Philmont "Mountain Man" hike. They had a great time, and said that
the best part about Philmont was the backcountry staffers.
I was surprised to hear, however, that when one of the rangers who
accompanied them became irritated with the crew, the whole crew was
forced to do 100 push-ups.
Can anyone tell me if this is standard Philmont procedure? It is my
understanding that this would violate BSA policy.
