I'm a Scout who needs a favor from any other
Scouts in the Southern California area.
I have my Eagle Scout project scheduled for three weeks
from now (July 11-13). My troop doesn't hasn't got a lot of
Scout Spirit and no one wants to come out and volunteer for
my project. I picked up a few boys from the Order of the
Arrow, and maybe a few more by volunteering for someone else's
project at a nearby synagogue, but I am still short. I need lots
of volunteers. The local Scout Council office has not been
helpful, but I am calling all of the synagogues in the area,
asking if they sponsor a Scout Troop and if I might have the
name and telephone number of the Scoutmaster.
I have a very interesting project. I have a 100 year old
railroad car that's sitting in a Museum near Riverside. It's
deteriorating from sun and rain, and my project is to scrape
and paint it, and put on a new roof. But I desperately need
volunteers, and I would greatly appreciate any help. Any troop
or any individual, Scout or not, would be welcome.
Without more help, I am afraid that my project may fail.
I would be glad to hear from anyone who might be interested
to help me.
