My problem with this widely thought to be regulation is that many adults
don't know the diiference between a fixed blade sheath knife (the Jim Bowie
specials) and a pocket knife that happens to be kept/worn in a belt case.
It really boils my grits when I hear a leader at a Camporee tell a Scout he
can't keep his folding Boy Scout pocket knife on his belt because its

much more comfortable.
