the first thing you do is involve the SCOUTS in planning and running the
meeting. That way they get involved in what is going on and help keep
others focused on the meeting plan. It's lots harder to think something
you planned and ran is lame.
We are teaching boys to be leaders, not basketball players, but we have
to let them apply what they learn. I suggest some training for both the
Junior leaders and adult leaders of the troop. Mt Baker Council is
putting on a very reputable JLT this summer. Check with your Unit
Commissioner or DE if you don't have the dates for that and the next
adult basic training course.
