I can't find our latest copy of the Requirements Book or my son's PM MB Book,
but looked at the Boy Scout Handbook, (1990, 10th edition, fifth printing - it
includes the Family Life MB). It appears that the new requirements are not just
a minor revision of the old, but a major change. I didn't do a detailed
comparison, but the new requirements appear to be much more detailed. THere are
now 9 requirements, many with several parts, instead of 7 requirements.
Sometimes, the different parts are not necessarily new requirements compared to
the old one-part requirement, but are simply broken out into an outline form,
rather than a paragraph form. One the other hand, some of the requirements
appear to be much more extensive and require a more extensive effort and
I wonder of the rationale for the more extensive effort is the overall poor
financial IQ of so many kids when they get out of high school, or even college.
