I received this question that I don't have references for... anyone
recognize the tune, and have a response for this Scouter?
"Question re: songs - up in western PA, Pioneer Trails Council,
we sang a song (30 yrs ago) at camp where two sides of the mess hall battled
to stump the other. I can not remeber only a few of the "states". the idea
was to use the name of a state to ask a question for the other side to
respond to. Such as "What did Ida-ho boys, what did Ida-ho" and I think it
continued on with "Now I'asking you now as a personal friend waht did
Ida-ho?" The answers came back similar to, "She wore her New Jersey boys,
she wore her New Jersey, etc". Ring any bells?"
