I guess the choice for a Scoutmastermobile depends a lot on where you are
located and what activities your troop likes to do. However, my suggestion is
to try a Chrysler minivan. I'm using an '87 that works just fine. (although I
would like more power which is available in the newer ones.) The reason I
suggest this is that it is very flexible. If you need to carry Scouts there
are seats for six plus the driver. If you need to carry gear you just take
the seats out. If you need some of both, you can remove one seat and still
carry 3 or 4 Scouts. If you get a 1993 or older you can put a rack on top and
carry canoes. ('93 and earlier have rain gutters for easy rack attachment.)
They also come in two sizes. The larger one will carry a fair amount of gear
behind the back seat.
