A friend of mine is on AOL, and has a 13 yr old son. He found a
video game on AOL last week, and downloaded it. I believe that it
was called something like AOHell. Stuff that appeals to the current
teenage group. ..." [and causes serious damage]
I believe the actual case is that the boy was offered this file via E-mail or
an AOL 'Instant Message'. I do not believe that he just "found" this
'sniffer' program. If I am wrong, then the boy needs to notify AOL as to
where that file was found.
There are constant reminders on AOL not to download any file offered by a
stranger, regardless of who they claim to be or what they have. That is good
wisdom anywhere, even on SCOUTS-L.
Files which are found in AOL file libraries, just as files found in the
SCOUTS-L file archives, have been checked to confirm that they are 'as
