My pack had a problem with the tape also. Actually my nine year old had a
problem with it--his best friends in the neighborhood have been sexually
abused by a neighboring family.
Many of the tiger parents did not stay to watch the tape. One den leader and
parent said that he would recommend to his bear parents that they not watch
the tape. In fact he and his den have not been back to any pack functions
since then. Note: only one boy came to graduation last night. Many of the
wolfs and up watched it with their parents. I have heard no feed back at all
on this--either negative or positive.
I believe that we should do everything to prepare our children for the 'real
world' out there. Many parents believe that they should tell their children
about these issues on their own and in their own way. Many parents wish to
isolate their children and not let them know of any of the negative things
that go on.
Just one person's view...
