I have heard many reasons why co-ed will and will not work. Here's my oppion.
It will work because you want it to work. If you treat the girls as you
would the boys - as individuals, with their own needs. You dont treat all
the boys the same right? Well, the sameapplies to the girls.
I have drilled into my Cubs, that as soon as they put on that uniform, and
come into the hall, their differences, such as sex etc, are no longer
important. they are Cubs first and foremost. This over rides everything else.
I dont view them as female or male cubs. I see them as a Cubs as indivduals
where they learn to accept and *work* togeather as a group/team and put
their differences aside.
So, again, it will work, if you want it to work. For no other reason.
