In addition to all of the good ideas already mentioned for Honoring
a good Scoutmaster for long service...
What about encouraging the Troop Committee to nominate
your Scoutmaster for your District/Councils's Award of Merit.
This is a traditional Scouting recognition that is indeed a great
way to honor a Scoutmaster.
Of course, if you wish to do this at the Troop level, another meaningful
item might be a scrap book/photo album put together by past
and present Scouts, which includes letters of thanks from both
past and present scouts.... I know I'd find such to be very special!!
(to the original poster) Don't forget to let us know what you finally
decided to do!!!
