I agree, Steve. My daughter has been "doing" Cubbing since in utero.
We somehow ended up without a troop for her this past year, when she
should have been a Daisy. Our town, I should note, had 5 or 6 Daisy
Troops. Cubs is what she knows, and is comfortable with.
I was a Girl Scout, Brownie to Senior, Jr. leader, trainer, Service Unit
Chair, Older Girl Program Consultant and knew the program. Like BSA,
when done right, it is great for those who need/want it. When it isn't,
oh, well, let's not say.
The option for local units would be the way to go.
Just my 2cents worth ( or is it 3 with inflation?)
