And your daughter's impression of these two fine programs comes from where?
I do not want to see young women included to the BSA program and my
reason is this.. I call it the "Big Brother" factor...
Ever see two brothers playing basketball... one maybe 16 one maybe
12... all seems to go well.. with the older boy giving lots of
positive input to the younger... until the cute 15 year old girl from
next door comes bye.... then the older boy changes .. has little time
for his bro...
One think I have always admired about the BSA program is that on viewing
a troop meeting you witness 17 year old boys giving valuable time to 11
year old Scouts... Introduce young women and... well....
don't blame (or flame) me.. it is the nature of teen boys.. I was once one
so I speak from experiece......
