I have patched the plastic bottom of tents with tape. This tape comes in
lots of colors, might be vinyl tape. I put 2 pieces on the bottom (one
crossed over the other) and 2 pieces crossed on the top.
I've also used it on plastic playpen pads and changing pads.
If you round the corners, the edge of the tape is less likely to catch on
