I fear that these dill pickle discussions have gotten rather far off topic.
So, just to keep things kosher, here's a true Scout story which I heard
several years ago on the old FIDO Scouter net:
After a week or so at camp, the SPL of a troop known for its creative
cobblers challenged the patrols to make the most creative cobbler, using
only ingredients which were left in their chuck boxes. The winners found a
box of mint chocolate chip cake mix, but were stumped on what to use for
fruit ... until they discovered a jar of dill pickle slices. Perfect! The
SM who related the story reported that it was the only cobbler he ever met
which he couldn't eat.
