Hello to the List again:
I have found two more Native American legends that I would like to
share with the group. I have already sent them on to all who requested the
Possum and eagle legends, so if you have not gotten them, please e-mail me
again. Please check your mailbox before requesting these 2 new stories, as
I have had over 50 requests and have tried to get all of them out.
The two new stories are 'The Story of Tavwots (Rabbit)' and 'The
Firebringer'. The latter is especially good for campfires. Unfortunatly I
do not know the tribal origin of these two stories, but they may be NE.
Please send an e-mail to me with the words" Send Tavwots/Firebringer
Legends" in the subject line and I will send you the stories..
And if you want the Cherokee stories about Possum ( "Why the
Possum's Tail is Bare) and Eagle (The Eagles Revenge), do the same ("Send
Possum/Eagle Legends" in the Subject line.)
And if you ever want any mail?? Find a story and offer to send it !
This is Fun!
OBTW, for those of you tired of the discussion about Jere (like I
am), post something of interest to the group! It will always start a great
