Now that a week has past, I have had an opportunity to reflect and to read
what everyone thinks about our Chief Scout Executive being arrested for
carrying a concealed weapon in an airport. As I said when I first posted, I
wanted to wait and see before I came to a conclusion.
The judicial system will acknowledge this as a minor offense and treat it
Jere has been good at his job. His offense is not aggravated. (in relation
to other offenses, and no I do not support the NRA) The offense is not per
se, such that he cannot represent BSA and make it grow and prosper.
But what is the real crime is that no one at national has the brains to
handle the matter.
JERE: ISSUE AN APOLOGY!!!!
What are you waiting for, an earthquake in Texas!!!
The statement I forgot, just does not do it for me or any other scouter!!!
I admit the PR has been non existent. But for Me, I will choose to stand
(Not in front just in case he is packing!!! <vbg>
I hope that others can see though this issue to the bigger picture, and that
perhaps National can get a handle on the PR side as well. So lets do what we
always do. Support National and help Jere through this unfortunate situation
we find ourselves in. I hope other will join with me.
Speaking only for myself!!!
