I have already opined to several people that the BSA's top Council
Executives and Area Directors should be polishing up their resumes. IMO,
the Chief Scout Executive position will soon be open.
Given the levels of sensitivity towards such things in the U.S. at this
moment Mr. Ratcliffe will soon be out of a job, one way or the other.
The BSA national office, IMO, will not stand for the adverse publicity this
will generate, especially if it hurts the cash flow, and IMO (again) his
ouster will be viewed as the best way to control the damage.
I seriously doubt Jere will preside over the Jamboree this summer as the
CSE. What an ignoble way to end a career.... :(
