I'm not sure I feel good about the federal government getting into the
business of pushing "volunteerism". I understand Maryland MANDATES
"service" before a high school diploma is issued. Is that really the
kind of volunteer service we want?

hundreds of hours of REAL volunteer work each year. The only high
politician at that event who is genuinely into volunteer work was Carter!
As for BSA, I see where they estimate our boys will give $1 billion worth
of service in the coming year. Beat that Mr President!
