Re: Adults for OA

Help out there! This weekend we had our District Camporee & Earth Day.
At the Friday night campfire we had our OA tip-outs. It appears that an
ASM who had been voted for & selected in his troop & approved by the
Bishop & the TC (his is an LDS troop) tip-out was disapproved by the
District Chairman, stating that National has new rules on OA & only the
Council Committee can now approve adults for OA.
It just so happened that the DE was attending the Camporee & the troop's
SM immediately demanded from him proof that this is a new ruling. The DE
was very firm-"he didn't know!" I asked the DChair if the DE knew of no
changes, how does he? It seems that our district's senior SM (26 yrs), &
WB AQM, told him-he heard it from one of his "homies," whatever that
means. Can anyone IN THE KNOW out there help?-is there a new OA policy
that takes the selection of the adults for OA out of the hands of the
