"Might seem like a silly question... but where on the uniform is the
proper/correct place to place and Eagle Palm? I have seen them both
placed onto the Eagle Rank Badge and above the left pocket... like a
and in anticipation... if the Scout has 21 + 20 badges, where does he
place the two (2) pins? ((this is is case someone says... center it
on... or place it in the center of......))"
Matt Baldwin replied:
"The palms are to be placed 1/8" apart on the red, white and blue
ribbon, and worn horizontally (like you can keep them from
turning!) You cannot wear the palms on the Eagle patch.
Scouters can wear the palms on the Eagle square knot above the
left pocket. Now, what do you do if you're a Scouter with four
palms (Silver and Bronze)? Squeeze both palms on to the knot?
What if you've got ten palms? (I've never met anybody with this,
but I do know people with nine). Do you wear the three silvers
and one bronze vertically?"
The insignia guide says they can be worn either on the Eagle Award
ribbon or on the square knot. Like Matt says, horizontally on the Eagle
award, but they're hard to fit on the square knot. I found if you place
them in a straight line across the center of the square knot and turn
them at about a 45 degree angle, you can fit two or three, any more than
that and you can't see any of the knot - so what's the point???
