We no longer call it "Fund-raising"
We now call it "Money-Earning"
BSA permit says so.
We need to remember the responsibility of having the boy 'earn' their way
It's a lesson they need to practice for their life ahead.
Try to focus on the boys and not on the 'convenience' of the adults.
We do not accept dues in an annual amount. We feel the boy needs to go
through the motions of paying (the Scout) and receiving (the Scribe) money.
Those who have sponsors will not have the opportunity to be self-sufficient.
They will always depend on others for support. Isn't that the opposite of 'to
help all people at all times'?
Quality does cost money. Fact. Recognize that and then deal with it.
This great country provides the opportunity to go wherever you want to.
