Question on Eagle COH

Dan Moser asked if advencement recognition other than for the Eagle Award
was appropriate at an Eagle Court of Honor. I would like to offer a few
examples for your consideration.
Many of the local troops conduct a regular troop court of honor before
conveining the Eagle court of honor.
When I was a scoutmaster (43 Eagle Scouts) I would try to include the
Tenderfoot Investiture as part of the opening of the Eagle Court of Honor.
The Eagle Candidate did the reading from the Scout Law for the Tenderfoot.
It was interesting later to hear boys say that "I got my Tenderfoot at
Mike's Eagle Ceremony and that was when I decided I wanted to be an
