I think you have the right approach. The only better thing is to let the
boys do the teaching.... I've watched my son (a Webelos Den Chief) teach
material better than I do, and so that I know it better after he's done
with the Webelos. He teaches T-->1st class first aid better than I do
too! The boys retain it better, and he is very good about finding good
ways to get them to remember it - better than I am. I counsel FA MB, but
may have him do the teaching (not the testing) in the future (if he will).
My son uses a lot of mnemonics - most of which he makes up himself, and
does a lot of hands on.
Boys make the best teachers - perhaps even for MBs!
