To any and all who can help me.
I was just asked to help out as SCOUTMASTER for a new troop that is being
formed. All suggestions would be welcomed.
Also a scout had used my MV Pathfinder Field Guide (1962) and lost many of
the pages. This book was a gift to me and if anyone has an extra copy around
could you send it to me. I used the book to show many of the old scouting
things that were done.
As an assistant scoutmaster I was in charge of teaching cooking, firestarting
and booking the campouts. I was also the father of the quartermaster for 3
years. I want to set up this new troop to be a BOY run troop, but I was told
that all the boys will be the weblos from the pack. My son will have to do
double work in TWO troops, the new one as SPL/troopguide et. al. and as
chaplan aid in the other. (Also working towards eagle - LONG way to go -- 16
and he 11 merit badges. Plus he is OA lodge Secretary)
Due to an injury I can no longer go on backpacking trips or hikes, so I will
be counting on the Assistant Scoutmasters for extra help to make it 2 deep
Thanks in advance for your advise.
