I arrived in Burlington, NC on Sunday.
Monday, I visited a troop meeting for my former troop. There was good and
bad. However, my "commissioner sense" would cause me to mention problems at
the next commissioner's meeting and to talk with the leadership (already
talked to the COR and might see the SM tonight).
Tonight is the district's Round Table. I also have an invitation to go
comet watching with the COR and SM of the troop I used to work with.
This weekend I'm going the NC Lutheran Scout retreat where I was asked to
play recorder for the worship services.
The next weekend is the SR-7 OA Conclave. My former troop is also going
mountain biking. I would love to do the biking trip, but am already
committed to conclave.
The weekend after *THAT* is this district's camporee.
On the fourth weekend my former troop has another camping trip - whitewater
rafting, I believe... by this point, I think I'll have to say "No".
For those still suffering with Winter, I have a new page
(http://www.netpath.net/~pannellj/home.htm) linked to my Delphi homepage
(http://people.delphi.com/pannellj) showing off some of the pretty sights
of Spring here in and around Burlington.
I used to be a buffalo (SR-92) but will always be an Eagle (1981)
