Is good enough really *good enough*?

I must agree - at least until one is required to run 110 yards to complete a
100 yard dash in a track meet. 8-)

Permit another point of view. People have different standards, different
interests and different commitments. I have 5 palms. Did I go above and
beyond? Not in my mind now or 50+ years ago when I earned them. I merely set
some goals and standards and achieved them - at least partly. I have
difficulty thinking that doing that which is well within our ability is
going above and beyond. I'm in Scouting 59 years since I first registered
because I lived that long, because that's what I'm supposed to do and
because of a close Eagle Scout friend who was killed in Korea.
