Sorry, JB, but the Committee meeting is just that -- a committee
meeting. While our Committee welcomes any parent or community rep that
cares to attend, as well as the SM and ASMs, we discourage the boys from
For one thing, the Committee meeting is often where the SM and the
Committee hammer out compromises; it is counterproductive for the
boy-leaders to see the SM being overruled or overruling the committee.
For another, for the convenience of the usual crowd of attendees, our
Committee meetings frequently occur during Troop meetings; the boy
leaders should be over there leading instead of in here following.
