>> One of our dens has a large group of cubs that are going to play
The adult leaders have also committed themselves to help coach. The den
leaders have discussed meeting at another nite and at one of the leaders
I spent 6 years as a cub scout leader (from den leader to cubmaster). In
my experience, the den leader is the person who sets the location and time
of the den meetings.
Is the different time and place a real problem for the non-baseball playing
If you do try to force the den to meet at the old time and place, you risk
loosing both the leaders and the cubs who play, since they will probably
play baseball anyway. The den would simply shut down.
If this is really a problem, you might want to let the current leaders set
the meeting for a different night, and get two new leaders for a new den.
Let the boys choose which den they want to be in.
