As sugested by the Listmaster I'm posting to introduce my
My name is Ray Dahl. I'm a new Varsity Coach. Former
Scoutmaster, OA chapter advisor, Committee member and such.
I live in Kearns UT, and have about 25 excellent young men
in our team. This past year has been a transition year for
us from an extension of our scout troop into a real High
Adventure program. I'm still learning about how the
Varsity awards work. Most of our team is eligible for
their Varsity Letter.
My question is on the activity pins.
The requirements for the letter seem to be different than
for the activity pin (in the literature), but I was lead to believe that the
activity pins reflect the activity used to earn the Letter.
In that case wouldn't the activity pins and the Letter
have the same requirements. I'm just a little confused and
its getting to be awards time and I want to make sure my
young men get the rcognition they deserve. Any insights
would be appreciated.
