Re: Wood Badge Uniforming

I have been following this thread for a while, and just thought I'd
throw in my 2 nickels (that's 2 cents US).
As a Trainer within our Region we have don't establish a policy
except for the following:
1) When you first earn your beads...you are required to wear them 24
hours a day for 6 months...that's in the shower, to bed, etc. You
never know when a trainer will show up at your door or place of work
to check. The reasoning behind this is to emphasize the
responsibility you have accepted to yourself and the youth through
2) It is then emphasized that the beads must be worn at all Scouting
functions....whether in uniform or not.
3) The emphasis is put on the beads and woggle. The scarf will
change depending if you are at a group function (wear your group
colors) or a "higher" function (wear your Gilwell).
That's all we advise our WB recipients about.
