I have read about scouts that have relieved a meddle for life saving and
wanted to know how to apply for one.
during the summer of 96 My son Brooks (14) save three lives and stopped
some property damage.
the first (and the lesser) was when i left the car running(dumb) with he
(14) and his brother (10) in the back seat. I though the car was in
park when a got out, but just as i ran into the house, to get what i had
forgot, the car started rolling in reverse. Well brooks, my 14 year old,
jumped into the front seat and stopped the car in the neighbors yard just
before it could hit the house.
the second was when we were at a friend house with a group of about 15
kids and 20 adults. ther was a pool and a 4 yr old fell in the shallow
end and went to the bottom. My son was close at hand. He reach in and
pulled the child out. of coursed the parents paniced and took the child.
I did not see any of this, but i believe my son. the parents don't
believe that it was my son that saved the child, but some one else.
in both cases i don't know how to enter him for the award. He says its
not important but i know he would like to try for the award.
