(Oh no, a Dear John Letter!) I own a Whisperlyte International by MSR.
It is by far the best! Backpacker Magazine has rated the WL number one for
years. Speaking of, this month, Backpacker Magazine, located at a newstand
near you, or on line at:http://www.thebackpacker.com/thebackp, has it's
annual gear reveiw. It does has a section on stoves.
The WL operates off white gas, is compact and easy to clean. I've been
using mine for three years and no problems. I beat mine up from the mountains
of Northern Vermont to the Sandi Cristo Mountains of Philmont. It's very easy
to use and it boils water in an incredible short amount of time. Also it
burns a low amount of gas while producing a high amount of heat. It comes
with the stove, repair kit, heat reflector and wind screen all in a handy
little pouch for $45.00
Gas bottles are seperate, but the only cost around $10.00 and they are
Good luck and let me know if you need more info!
Hope I didn't babble too much.
