This is certainly a sticky situation. I have two thoughts, each dependent
upon what really happened.
It may be that the boy in question (who wanted to be PL) was elected, in
which case you are fine. Just be sure that he feels you trust him so that he
can see that doing things correctly achieves his goals.
If he simply assumed the position, let him know right away that it simply
isn't done that way. You have a system to follow and everyone will follow
it. Run another election right away. He needs to know that 1) honesty
counts, and 2) we do have rules to be followed. Maybe even 3) there are
consequences for not following the rules.
You're going to have to handle this very carefully, though. Sounds like a
candidate for dropping out if he doesn't get his way. Good luck!
