Back in 1943 when I received my Eagle in Greenville MS, a quarterly CoH was
held for all troops in town to hand out all awards. Each person came forward
but a little more todo was made of the Eagle presentation. In 1978 I
received my Silver Beaver in Owensboro KY with 3 others at a Council Dinner.
My two sons had a choice - alone or with others. They both chose to have it
with others. Over the past 10 years or so, I have attended better than 90%
of the Eagle CoHs in this district. So far those have been individual but,
based on the number of my BoRs lately, I expect to see a few multiple ones
in the near future.
I only have 3 points: (1) combined or individual - they both work (2) try to
have what the boy wants (3) 53 years later not too many people remember the
