To all who found the current episode of King_of_the_Hill offensive, let me reconstruct
what happened in my living room when it came on.
TV ANNOUNCER: "...King of the Hill..."
ME: (To son holding remote control) "This is garbage, change the channel."
SON: "But Dad, this is going to be good -- they're joking the Order of the Arrow."
ME: "It is assinine, you are not going to watch it."
SON: "But Dad, ..."
ME: (Turning off TV set) "Go read your library book."
There is a fine line in satire between being humorous and being disgusting. As far as I
am concerned King of the Hill (and several other programs such as Bevis and Butthead, In
Living Color, etc) fall far on the negative side of the line. If you agree with me, I
suggest refraining from letting these programs into your homes because they are
assinine, not because they may have made fun of Scouting.
Ok, I'm off the soapbox now.
