Arise O Ye Faithful!
After reading Mark's and a few other responses to my question on Scout
Sunday( brought on by the day after a district awards dinner and trying to
get the kids to sleep after.) I can see it is time for a revolution!
I say Two Scout Sundays in every Feb! Dual days of doze-free deference to
(I say that the weird hours I have to stay up to in order to log on to
AOL is getting to be too much.)
How do you join this movement? Wear your uniform on the first and second
Sunday in February every year; Serve your church twice each Feb. at least;
Send me a love offering of $500,000.00 or less (optional, this isn't TV)and
just spread this nefarious idea through roundtables,
districts, councils, training sessions, powwow books and etc.
And give thanks for the oppoutunity to serve and help and make the world
a little bit better than you found it, the joy that you see in the boys, the
something there is in people that makes them support things like Scouting,
that no matter how many awful things happen or monstrous people exist that
there is a brotherhood that stretches beyond individual beliefs dedicated to
doig good and that you are fourtunate enough to have many hours every week
that you gladly dedicate to building good people.
Oh, and don't forget the love offering.
