They are correct. There is NO SUCH THING as an Asst. SM conference.
However, the SM may appoint the SA to do the conferences (one or more).
The Scoutmaster(SM) assigns the Asst Scoutmaster (SA) to all assignements,
that is the way it goes. However, when the SA holds a Scoutmasters's
conference, he is doing so at the bequest of the SM and in place of the
SM. It is STILL called the Scoutmaster's Conference, and the Scoutmaster
must know the outcome and get a report, as it is his responsibility to know
where each boy is at and at what rank, etc.
