Just got back from a wonderful celebration of Scout Sunday and wanted to
tell everyone what a joyful time we all had. I am so proud of all the boys
that worked so hard to get their religious emblems! A few of them were
still working on completing the final details just a week ago, but they all
finished and the Emblems were distributed today. Our pack is Chartered by
St. Matthews Methodist, and the troop is sponsored by Coronation of Our
Lady, a Catholic church! They are located right across the street from each
other, and services were attended in both. It was such a joy to see two
different denominations sharing in such jubilation! After services, in which
all Cubs and Scouts were asked to participate in some special way, a
reading, ushering, processions, Troop 364 provided everyone with a
In Coronation, there was also a special celebration in honor of Catholic
Schools week. The cubs that participated in that church, were rewarded with
extra praise as quite a number of their schoolmates were on hand to witness
their special blessings for Light of Christ and Parvouli Dei! We had more
than 20 boys between the two churches!
Just 'Proud as Punch' that our boys AND their parents worked so hard to
achieve their FAMILY religious emblems!
