Holiday Greetings, Scouts & Scouters !
I just realized that I am now almost a week late in announcing that one of
the members of our list has reached goal of boy scouts -- Eagle. Last
Wednesday evening, Bill Chin of Troop 68 in Trumbull CT successfully passed
his Eagle Court of Honor. (Now we wait for the paperwork!)
Bill is the fourth Eagle in the Troop this school year. He joins Brian
Burns who passed the BoR in August, Steven Alesevich who passed in
September (I was there....on my wedding anniversary) and Ben Thoma who
passed in November. Brian's Court of Honor is on January 4 and Steve's is
on January 5.
Bill is a Vigil Member of Tankiteke Lodge #313, and has been on the
Ceremonies team for a number of years. He currently serves as Lodge
Vice-Chief (Administration) and has served the Pequot Chapter as Chapter
Chief. He is a past SPL (2 terms) including when Troop 68 was Sandy Beach
Chaps (Week 6) at Camp Yawgoog. He has completed 5 years of year around
camping and is well on his way to year 6.
I will be happy to pass any messages of congratulations on to him both
electronically (and I'll print them out for his scrap book). I expect the
Court of Honor to be in the Spring.
Hope you all have a happy and safe holiday season.
