Our last Pack meeting

Last night was the last Pack meeting for my husband, my son and me in
the Mount Baker Council as it is confirmed that we are moving to the
Denver area (still with no where to go yet~YIKES!).
We left on a high note as we already found a new Cubmaster to take my
husband's position and someone to take my position as Committee Chair.
The meeting consisted of lots of awards being handed out, and a
"painting" ceremony for a new Bobcat (I think the Scout's mother enjoyed
painting her son's face!). Our other Bobcat inductee and Bear inductee
were not present at this meeting due to illness.
We also had our last fundraiser of the year in the form of a cookie
auction with my husband taking the position of auctioneer. It is a
relatively small Pack (only 27 boys), but everyone donated a plate/tin
of cookies, and we raised over $300 for the Pack. :)
It was a sad moment for me when the meeting came to an end. Through all
the mess and stress of organizing the meetings, I really enjoyed working
with the BSA. I think, however, my husband and I will enjoy just as
much just being parents of a Scout in Colorado for a while.
Thanks go out to all of you who were there to offer advice when asked.
This is a great group who has a wealth of information to share. I will
be signing off this list shortly so I can pack up and get ready for the
move, but I hope to see you all again when we get back online in
Happiest of holidays to all, and may the new year bring joy to your
