Hello, Internet Scouters!
I am very impressed with how helpful the folks on SCOUTS-L are. It
might have something to do with the Scout Law. ;-) I posted a request
for the address and phone number for P.R.A.Y., the organization that
handles many of the religious awards available to Scouts and Scouters.
I asked for responses by direct e-mail rather than to the list so as not
to hog the bandwidth. However, one person asked me to pass the
information along when I got it. If one person asked for it, maybe
others could use it. Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-933-PRAY
(or 1-800-933-7729 for alphabetically challenged people like me).
Several people provided some other interesting and useful information as
well. Kathie Cerveny (email@example.com) mentioned one item I think
is particularly worth passing on to all. She reminded me that the
Council office should have the flyer that shows all the religious awards
and gives the appropriate addresses to contact for more information. I
didn't even think to ask the office if they had something with that
information in it <DUH>.
Thanks again, and Happy Holidays to all of you, no matter what holidays
you celebrate! If you don't have one coming up soon, just hold the wish
until the next one arrives.
