We have seen this in the past in our council and it has not been that
much of a problem. It has been very easy to move the charter to a local
church in the past. Or a group of parents can form a Civic orig. i.e.
The Parents for Scouting in Home Town, USA.
Your best bet is to find a church who will look at the scouting program
as a outreach ministry of the church. If you can get a church behind
scouting you will be much better off than having a PTA charter.
Not that there is anyting wrong with the PTA but I don't know of any PTA
groups that have VAN'S!!!!! or even better a church BUS!!!!
Yes we have a church on almost every corner in the SOUTH!
