BY the advancement guidelines booklet, (I gave the reference page out of the
1996 edition last week) updated annually, the Scoutmaster AND the asst.
Scoutmaster, and relatives of the boy are NEVER to sit a board.
If you have done so, you can correct the mistake, we all make them. We, as
volunteers, have only to write the national committee on advancement (a
volunteer committee) to ask for verification, justification, and/or changes.
It is however not within our realm to change the national advancement.
Thus -- though you may have sat on a board, it was wrong and has been for
the 27 years I have been in the program.
