Hello there fellas, I've got a problem, and I thought someone might have
some help for me.
I am having trouble with the scouts in my unit. They are completely
unmotivated! I know that this often results from bad leadership, but this
is ridiculous! I (the SPL) have tried in many ways to get them motivated.
I know, of course, that planning is the key to success. I have tried
planning, and I have tried not planning, and the planning one just seems
to be more disappointing because they are completely uninterested.
I know that the goal is for scouts to enter the troop and be first class
by the end of the first year. We are having problems getting people past
tenderfoot, and this is thier second year already!
OUr current plan is alternating weeks, one a meeting, one an activity. We
are also thinking about cutting our meetings from 1 and a half hours to
just one hour. I am at a bit of a loss. Can anyone help?
