To introduce myself I am Tom Bingaman of Green River District, Chief Seattle
Council. My present position is that of Scout Leader Training Chair. My last position
was Scout Roundtable Commissioner from 1980 to 1995. I recrutred my replacement. I
served as a WEBELOS leader when it first started for three yrs. ASM for three yrs. O/A
chapter advisor 7 yrs. all my chapter chiefs earned their vigil in that time I served on
Ordeal staff for 7 yrs. and "I too have my brothers kept the vigil ".I attended Wood
badge in 1968 ( 328 ) Yes that is my course number. I have served on seventeen (17)
courses this last year as a troop guide. There were 69 participants in thirteen patrols
split into two troops. I was called on Thursday to be in camp on Sunday. I have been a
course director three (3) times (I hope I got it right). I have assisted in three
Council JLT courses. in 1968 there were 150 Wood Badge MEN trained in the Council.
There are now over 700 Men and Women who are now active and trained in the Council..
Several hundred more trained but have moved or are no longer active. I am a Life Scout
(A Life Scout A Scout for Life). I have the ST George Award (RC) & Silver Beaver.

PS I have been observing for some time and notice a lot of diverse ideas posted. Lots
of people defending their position and reasons why they do not agree with National
Policy. We must all remember without Boys, there would be no Boy Scouts of America and
that is why we are here to help boys become leaders. Wood Badge Patrol Names, you can
like one writer said customize your Patrol Name.
