Sorry for the delay, I have the weekend's digests to get through. I
only have a few things to add to Mike Bowman's excellent email message.
>Regarding the 3Gs ..................................................
There is nothing more I wish to add.
>Regarding linking the Scout Law to netiquette,
I added "links" to elements of the Scout Law. From earlier
postings to the list, if I remember correctly, many of the points are
common to the international scout organizations. I only added a few,
and they were ones that I thought "fit" the best. The best fit
was for "content" and line length :-).
I wish to state again that my goal of all this was to create a
simple/small mail message that would contain only enough "pieces"
to trigger the memory of the list members. It was/is not an attempt
to take the place of the Scouts-L Welcome message.
The other area of discussion, outside of the forum, has been in the
"packing" of the information at the end. Other members feel that there
is not enough "white space", and the format is tough to understand.
The only counter argument I have for this, was my original
recommendation that one screen's length, ~24 lines, be the guide.
I wish to hold off on any changes with the overall length. If we
decide that this is a good idea at the end of the month, I am more than
willing to allow Jon E. to make the final spacing decision as it goes
out of the listserver.
