About a month ago Den Smith asked about collection guides for Scouting
memorabilia. My apologies for be so long in responding. With some work
related travel and two different Council Pow Wows to staff, my e-mail got
COLLECTION INFORMATION: The American Scout Traders Association (ASTA) puts
out a quarterly newsletter with much helpful information for memorabilia
collectors. For membership and subscription information contact Doug Krutilek
HISTORY: You can subscribe to the Journal of the American Scouting
Historical Society by contacting Bill Topkis, 11729 Henley Lane, Los
Angeles, California 90077.
OFFICIAL SOURCE FOR CSPs: For Council Shoulder Patches, you can order these
through the supply division. They put a out a listing of CSPs in
publication 70-085. Call 1-800-323-0732 for a copy. You can get any one
of several hundred CSPs from BSA.
CSPs: An Aid to Collecting Council Shoulder Patches with Valuation Guide by
David Franck, Don Hook, Jim Ellis, and Tom Jones is helpful for the older

OA: For OA patches, consider A History of the Order of the Arrow Through
