One of the best parts of campfires when I was growing up was the s'mores.
Well, how do you get that great taste when you're not camping? I found a
new recipe idea!!!
Make a batch of brownies, it is suggested you get one w/o nuts, chocolate
chunks. These brownies will be the base of your s'more cookies.
When the brownies are done take them out of the oven. IMMEDIATELY cover
with 2.5 cups of mini marshmallows and 1 c. of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Put them back in the oven for 2-3 mins. to allow the marshmallows & chips to
melt. As soon as they have started to melt, take them out and push graham
crackers onto the mixture. It takes about 9 graham crackers to do a 9x13
pan. I break mine up into halves and fourths, to make it easier to cut
them. These are really great, I brought them to roundtable this week (a
double batch) and none came home!!! They have been requested to come to the
next roundtable, too.
